This assignment should incorporate what you learned about the components and tone of an Executive Summary. Remember, the Executive Summary assumes that the reader will not read the entire report or book; therefore, you must take him/her through every part of the report or book. I’d like you to write an Executive Summary of the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People” or “How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital World.”” You will be writing the Executive Summary to a top manage to persuades the top managers (VP or President/CEO) that they should read the book to improve or change some aspect of their communication competence.
Directions: This summary will cover all four sections/parts of the book. The report should be in Arial 12 point font, double space except Page 2 Executive Summary which should be single space, and 1’margins on all sides and bottom of page.
Content Requirement of Four Page paper:
Page 1: Cover page – include book title, picture relating to book or of the book, your first and last name, and course number course section.
Page 2: Executive Summary – must be one page outlining your report, should be single-spaced. Last paragraph include your opinion of the book, only 3 to 5 lines.
Page 3: Section/Part 1 & 2 – Title Header including Section/Part number and title. Each section/part should include one paragraph of two principles from the section/part in the book that you like. Principles must be in sentences not bullet points. Second paragraph for each section/part should include how you applied these principles to your personal life (NOT business life). The second paragraph should give examples on the personal applications.
Page 4: Section/Part 3 & 4 – Title Header including Section/Part number and title. Each section/part should include one paragraph of two principles from the section/part in the book that you like. Principles must be in sentences not bullet points. Second paragraph for each section/part should include how you applied these principles to your personal life (NOT business life).
