Review the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Students. What insights did you gain about the expectations for students with regard to technology? Which of these standards are you comfortable integrating into your teaching and in which standard areas might need additional a support?
Read the article on Digital literacy from CommonSense.org. Select an age group you plan to teach: little kids, big kids, tweens, and teens. Click through and read article under that age group following the suggested links. Summarize one of digital literacy issues or questions posed and share your ideas about promoting digital literacy in your own classroom.
