Integration Essay #2- PIXEL

An integrative paper is essentially an opinion of the material covered and how you feel about it. 

Details/Deadlines

How long: No lees than 1000 words Word document

When: Thursday Nov 15, 8pm.

Part one: RESEARCH. Answer briefly ALL following questions from ALL sections,  in regards Companie Kafig PIXEL performance. These will prepare you for writing a better essay, include all answers in your essay.

 Section #1: Describe what you are seeing “use present tense”

Elements of the performance – costumes, props, lighting, video projections, and scenery. Write as you remember them.
Performers movement – verbs are the language of dance and performance. Example, one dancer comes running furiously like a tiger, while other jumps like its pray.
 Describe the the music you are hearing as you remember it- instruments, volume, rhythm, feelings that you are getting from listening to it.
Why the title PIXEL?, What does the title implies and convey to you before and after seeing the show?

Section #2 : Analyze the performance

Do you get a sense of a story or narrative behind PIXEL, if so, what is it? There is no right or wrong answer, please express your ideas freely.
If you consider the piece was more abstract. Please explain the images and sensation that appear in you mind from watching it.
How was the space used? And how the technology/projections influenced it?
Describe the relationship of the technology used and the movement of the dancers?
What do you think is the dancers and choreographer inspiration to do this kind of work?
If you could interview a dancer or the choreographer about PIXEL, who do you ask and what would you ask him or her?

Section #3: Give your reactions about the piece

What did the performance make you think or remember?
What do you think is special about this production?
Do you connect any of the ideas read or discussed in class with this performance?  If so which idea(s)? You can find all readings below.
Section #4 Give your impressions of the performance

Is there anything new, that you have learned by coming to see this performance? If so please explain.
How this new learning connects with the knowledge shared in class so far? Be specific
Were you moved by this work? If so, explain how or why not
Post two questions that emerged from watching PIXEL. 
Is there anything particularly interesting or inspiring for you about this performance that you would like to talk more about?
How can you relate what you saw on this performance with any personal experience? Example: your major, your work, other class, other performance you saw, etc…
