Public Policy:Presentation On Implementation Theory

For the purpose of this assignment, assume you are a graduate-level teaching assistant for a freshman-level Public Administration 101 course at a traditional ‘brick and mortar’ state university. This week’s class lecture will focus on the evolution of ‘Implementation Theory’ as it pertains to the development and formulation of modern-day American public policy. Your task is to develop a concise, narrated PowerPoint presentation for a class of 45-50 undergraduate students illustrating this theoretical evolution of Implementation Theory as explained in John’s (2017) ‘three distinct ages of theory’ through Pressman and Wildavsky’s (1973) ‘top-down’ and ‘bottom-up’ approaches leading up to the modern-day policy construct.
