Researchers select a research design based on the question they are interested in exploring and answering. They then select research methods that fit with the research question and design to conduct their inquiry.Theory and research are the tools that give psychology its strong foundation and depth. As a developing professional in the field, it is important for you to be familiar with many types of theory, and to learn to identify and interpret scholarly research.
