Assignment: Scenario: Implementing CATs
PART 1:
For this Assignment, consider how you would incorporate Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) into your learning plan that you started in EDUC 6757, and continued working on in EDUC 6758 and during this course. Use ideas from the Learning Resources and from additional research online to develop a plan for incorporating at least three CATs into your learning plan: one that you could use at the beginning of the course, module, or unit; one that you could use during the course, and one that you could use at the end of the course. Consider whether you could use clickers, as one of your methods, and if so, how.
Download the Classroom Assessment Planning Template found in the Learning Resources and use it to create your Classroom Assessment Plan. Next week, you will develop an actual CAT that you could implement with your students, and add it to this document. You will submit your Classroom Assessment Plan and your CAT in Week 6.
Next week, you will combine this assignment with the Week 6 Assignment and submit both together.

Part 2
Assignment: Create a CAT
For last week’s Assignment, you developed a plan for incorporating Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) into your learning plan that you started in EDUC 6757. This week, you will develop an actual CAT that you could implement with your students.
Using the Classroom Assessment Planning Template you started last week, develop a complete version of one of your CATs and add it to this document. Your CAT should include at least the following sections:
The learning goal(s) you want your CAT to address or the question that you have about students’ learning
The specific questions you will ask or the activity you will have your students complete
A brief description of how you will make sense of the results
Your tentative plan for using the results and communicating them to the students
If one of the classroom assessment methods you chose was the use of clickers, after stating your learning goal, simply create a set of three to four questions that you would use with the clickers, and describe how you would integrate them into a class session.
Submit your complete Classroom Assessment Planning document including your CAT.
